Aflatoxin is the risk every serious nut exporter plans around. It is invisible, it is regulated tightly in every major market, and it is entirely preventable with discipline.
Prevention starts in the field
The mould that produces aflatoxin thrives on damp, damaged nuts. Proper sun-drying, raised racks and clean jute bags keep moisture low from the very first day after harvest.
Layered testing
- Incoming raw nuts sampled and checked for moisture and damage.
- In-process sorting to remove discoloured or shrivelled kernels.
- Pre-shipment laboratory testing against the destination market limit.
